Westin to Sponsor International Water Forum on Climate Change Adaptation
RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIF. – Westin has announced that it will sponsor the inaugural, Climate Change Impacts on Water: An International Adaptation Forum, January 27 to 29 in Washington, D.C. The Forum agenda includes case studies, presentations and panel discussions providing practical approaches to water utility adaptation initiatives.
“Changes in climate can have a dramatic impact on water utility operations and management, challenging the reliability and affordability of providing safe drinking water” said Doug Harp, President and CEO of Westin. The Forum is being organized by leading industry associations including the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies; Water Research Foundation; International Water Association; American Water Works Association; and Water Utility Climate Alliance.
Speakers at the event will represent a global view, providing first hand perspectives from Australia, Jordan, U.K., Netherlands, European Union, Spain, Switzerland, Singapore, and the USA.
