Responsible for providing technical consulting and management of IT improvement programs for clients in the water, wastewater and solid waste industries. The projects may involve multiple applications including financial management, asset management, maintenance management, customer information, laboratory information, industrial waste pretreatment and geographic information systems.
Responsibilities include project planning, scope management, project change control, schedule and budget management, project team management, risk and issue management, communications management and quality management. Projects may involve requirements definition, COTS software selections, software implementation, integration, conversion, training, deployment and continuing support. Specific experience in GIS-related tools and applications is desired.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for managing Westin project performance and delivery while achieving customer expectations.
- Responsible for providing scope and cost control
- Responsible for project team leadership
- Responsible for mentoring project team members
- Responsible for complying with Westin Quality Standards
- Responsible for achieving utilization, project revenue and project profit objectives
- Manage all necessary activities for successfully developing and managing client relationships for existing accounts.
Experience Required:
- 15 + years of consulting and/or project management for technology-related projects in water/wastewater utilities or public sector agencies.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS products – ArcView, ArcEditor, ArcInfo, and/or ArcIMS.
- Solid understanding and work experience as a technical lead defining system requirements and implementing software packages.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Experience in the following:
o Managing client expectations and service delivery
o Project Planning and Control
o Business Process Improvement
o Client billing and receivable management
o Working with established project management methodologies - Experience mentoring, inspiring team work and growing a project team
- B.S. in Business, Information Technology or Engineering or related field, advanced education degree a plus, registered professional a plus.
- Strong skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, experience with business process modeling tools a plus.
