SENIOR ENGINEER (PROGRAM MANAGER)

The Senior Engineer (Project Manager) position will manage capital improvement programs for clients in the water and wastewater industries. The projects may involve multiple applications including SCADA, plants controls, telecommunications networks, and related systems. The Senior Engineer must be able to prepare P&IDs, process control narratives, instrument lists and I/O lists as part of project design. Project design also includes preparation of specifications and associated bid documents including cost estimates, schedules, and transition plans.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide program/project management for complex capital improvement projects
• Manage Westin project performance and delivery while satisfying customer expectations
• Lead and mentor project team members

Job Requirements

• 10 + years of program/project management for technology-related projects in water/wastewater utilities or public sector agencies
• Extensive project management experience in the following:
  • Managing client expectations and service delivery
  • Project Planning and Control
  • Vendor Management
  • Requirements definition and vendor selection
  • Oversight of Implementation of applications
  • Business Process Improvement
  • Client billing and receivable management
  • Working with established project management methodologies
  • Supporting clients in the identification and development of appropriate PM methodology
• PEng license in Ontario
• PMI Certification as a Project Management Professional a plus
• Strong skills with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project required
• Experience with business process modeling tools a plus
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
