SENIOR ENGINEER

The Senior Engineer will work with a variety of applications and customers to deliver creative solutions to utilities in the areas of process control, monitoring, and data archiving. After creating programs, this engineer will direct the installation in systems at the utility’s facilities. This includes startup, testing, and field modifications to programs to deliver a finished SCADA system.

This individual will work with clients to define system configuration requirements, develop design documents, and lead project teams in creation and maintenance of PLC programs, HMI programs, and related SCADA and control system software.

Job Responsibilities

• Design of I&C, DCS, and SCADA systems, primarily for water and wastewater applications
• Prepare technical design reports
• Lead teams providing construction phase services for a variety of systems including systems integration
• Manage projects to successful completion within scope, schedule and budget
• Client development and management ensuring quality delivery and continuous client satisfaction

Job Requirements

The position requires demonstrated experience in the use of common SCADA system hardware and software to control water and wastewater processes. Experience preferred includes:

• Requires 5 - 8 years experience in the following:
  • Intellution iFix (other HMI software packages a plus)
  • Programming control logic for Allen-Bradley PLC5 and other PLCs
  • Microsoft operating systems and networking
  • Visual Basic programming language
  • Excel, Access, SQL, Oracle, and/or ODBC databases
• Working knowledge of instruments and process control equipment
• Water and wastewater utility operations experience a plus
• B.S. in Engineering or related field, advanced education degree a plus
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License preferred
